Gulianova - Termoli 135 km. Sunday. I'm quite happy to ride along here at the off-season. There were a few spots today, puh. The first 70 km were quite crowded. In summer this is probably rather much more crowded. Actually, since Rimini the ride felt lika all along a casino - Lido - Puoff. Already several hundred kilometers. Today, I had a foretaste as how it would look during the high season. The car roads full , with cars and bikes. The bike paths, with pedestrians, joggers, dogs, children and piles of sand. From left to right, from right to left, crisscross. Then again another danger sand drift or crosswind or pothole and the naviapp again. It wasn't easy today. A lot of slalom, a lot of braking and slow and always nice consideration. The next SUV parked on the bike path, the cyclists are on the road. A term I`d like to stress: "shoulder view", I before the next pothole, as well as you dear pedestrians, that would be great! Instead of goggle on the cell phone, when crossing bike paths. Anyway, except braking, nothing happened, am glad that not more people were on the road. Today I was sent by the Navi once again through the pampas and once I did not want to follow the thing through the mud and the puddle (Check out the videos), but then? Then it suddenly led me on a path, directly out of a mud puddle (picture below), as I had never seen before. From Ortona on, until almost here in front of the door of the B&B in Termoli. The thing even has a name "La Via Verde della Costa". It was so beautiful there, halfway up the coast. And the best part? No people! And the ones that were there rarely hobbled crisscrossing the path. Almost 50 km long! Wonderful piece only interrupted by the nature reserve Punta Aderci. Had almost pitched my tent there on the beach, although forbidden. The last 10 - 20 km I was then again on the shoulder of a highway, also acceptable because space and fast, but no comparison. The Naviapp I now understand better now. Empty memory and end background processes (especially google maps and Whatsapp), then the app finds the location faster / better. That it keeps sending me off the path and 500 m a pothole-covered bike path along next to the good road, I still do not understand. Also, that I may not preview in the app as the paths continue, I have not understood, no matter also this will comes! So what else? Stay 2 nights in Termoli. On the one hand, I washed clothes that are now drying, my butt should recover from the new saddle and a small package will be sent home and I should visit a dentist tomorrow. Means bell cleaning tomorrow from one to the other, until one takes pity. Although my super nice hostess will also call her friends tomorrow morning to get me an appointment. That's why I can't say exactly yet how it will blow on from here. Many things are possible and in planning. Here in the B&B I can stay until Thursday at the most (with bike in the room), as I said, a lot depends on what the doctor says. My bike I should also clean times, especially the circuit (do not adjust without luggage / just like the brakes!), the chain chafes a bit on the second sprocket and is thrown down from time to time.
