(Review Breezer Radar X Pro M)

The bike I now have a month (July 1, 2022) and have 2500 km behind me. Different tours (can be read here), with different requirements (surface, length, slope) and different luggage or luggage modifications. The important thing beforehand, the only modifications that were made from the beginning, were installation of SHIMANO SPD PD-T8000 Deore XT pedals and Race King Continental tires (instead of the WTB Nineline 2.25 tires) as well as a shortened handlebar stem and a luggage rack by means of seat tube clamp for the first longer tour, otherwise saddle Dry Bag. After 2500 km I was at the inspection: Overall, we have the rear tire (1x flat tire, by pointed metal piece, tube I could easily change myself) and the chain changed (both would have been good for a few hundred kilometers, only I want soon again on longer tour). Since the crank made a bit of noise, we have taken out the ¾ of the spring ring fell out in two parts (where the last ¼ has remained, no idea) and could be easily renewed, the rear wheel still had a slight blow and was re-centered. Otherwise, little wear, not even the brake pads were badly worn. Since I know other, therefore already 5 stars. Now we come to the driving behavior: Incredibly well lies this bike on the road or path, it can also accelerate very well. Secure cornering and especially the change from asphalt to gravel, even at downhill and higher speed runs smoothly and safely. Off-road or on cobblestones safe driving position and maneuverability, the steel frame does its job, the geometry does the rest. The brakes (Shimano GRX 600), although only 160 mm discs, are reliable, even downhill with luggage and in need convincing. If I understood correctly, 180 mm discs can also be mounted with appropriate adapter, if necessary. The saddle (WTB Volt) is great, not a single time a problem, even on day trips over 200 km, clear with padded pants. Both geometry and saddle I find great, has fit like lid on pot (size M 51 cm; height 175 cm at 82 kg), no knee, back or buttock pain. The change between flatter level and steep climb even in the terrain runs smoothly without problems, thanks to the good gearshift (Shimano GRX). Only the gear (transmission ratio) (FSA Aferburner Modular DM, 38T, cassette Shimano Deore, 11 - 42T, 11 speed) may not be enough for some. They canup-grade (eg Shimano 2-fold GRX crank). Personally, it's enough for me, 38-11 is fine for me, with luggage almost only downhill, but 65 km/h are enough for me (downhill), on the flat I get along with the transmission ratio, can still increase the frequency, if I think that I should be too slow on the road. Uphill I have not once reached my personal limit, although the climb up to the Grand Ballon, with luggage, at slope of 16 - 18% and bad road already challenged me, but maybe I just had a bad day? Without luggage climbs are no problem, although you go mostly out of the saddle. Thus also here 5 of 5 points. What I also find incredibly good are the many mounts. Whether luggage carrier, low-rider, other holders, top tube bag also hanging and water bottle holder as well as a heavy bike lock (near-floor down tube holder) simply mounted and removed, so for different uses different configurations are easy to realize. In addition, 14 kg bike weight with a max system weight of 130 kg is great for touring riders. Therefore 5 extra points for the possibilities for`s Bikepacking. Thanks to Felix from fahrschneller.de for the great advice, clear the fox for the service and Fahrrad Flachs for the fast centering. All in all, I am convinced of the bike and like to get on it and look forward to the next tour. In this sense: have a nice day.
