Day 47 Lleida - Zaragoza 145 km (1000 meters of altitude).

Stop in the shade (of which there were not many opportunities along the chosen route), loosen or remove shoes, drink water, eat fruit, leave water. Earlier on my first tours I did this every day, well then I was also a smoker. At that time I saved myself from break to break, cigarette to cigarette. At that time it was calf cramps, today it is the soles of my feet. Well I am probably now used to much more. If I make small tours I can drive the 130 km also through if it must be. Yesterday came then also something in addition what I would have expected actually much earlier, I am sore butt. That was me 40 km before Zaragoza on. Sure I have a new saddle, was no problem so far. Think that the short cycling pants yesterday not properly on and I probably due to the headwind seasawed. So the day break today does double good. Mighty ointment on the wound and hope for the best, tomorrow then carefully continue, if it must be again break. Normally it will be fine. But it is rather unpleasant. The breaks then led to scenes that I put myself behind parked trucks or crawled under small trees, the main thing a few minutes no load, neither from the sun, nor the wind, nor the driving. The look at the clock told me that I was well on the way. As a goal I had given 6 pm for me and at 4 pm I still had 30 km. I took the 2 h to get to the finish, there was somehow the energy gone and also no need to push through. Around Zaragoza, the truck traffic increased very strongly, generally the traffic. On the way I had today rather little company, so I could also be long in the triathlon position on the wide shoulder. A reason why I advanced despite headwind fast. Around Zaragoza, however, it was fierce, but as soon as I got into the city center started bike paths. Very well developed, remind very much of Amsterdam. Also the cyclists drive like this, nice. In the evening still caught an open supermarket and looked around me a bit in the city.
