During the night it was already blowing quite hard and also Luigi warned me more or less indirectly during the morning coffee. Wind! Mistral wind to be more precise, I learned tonight. The last 40 km, so almost half the day, I stood in the wind. Unfortunately not tailwind, mostly headwind or sideways. This went so far that I drove in one direction and the wind came from the left, I turned right and the whole thing suddenly came from the front. How does that work? It was like that today, it took me a couple of times and moved me like that half a meter to the left or right, or made me stop. The last kilometer I had tailwind, without kicking 16 km/h (video evidence). Not for the faint of heart, with the narrow roads. But from the beginning. With Luigi and his nice colleague this morning in the bar/coffee opposite and then afterwards in the workshop, the bike was almost ready. "Due" said the boss and meant front and rear plates. I guess I need to increase the rolling resistance a bit and lower the tire pressure. The new wheel was mounted, looked chic, I paid and thanked, for more I could too little Italian. Saddle up again with Luigi past me thank, he told me still how I should drive and off i went. At 11 o'clock start, perfect on Saturday morning, not loose on the roads. The program should be today, as few as possible potholes and off-road. First the wheel should get used to the weight. Why the old wheel is cracked? I still puzzle? Actually, this should not happen, 20 k km no eight, especially since I had not retightened the spokes. Possibly yes also as the wind has blown the bike over, that also happened today, not paying attention, gone to pee and boom lies the thing on the road. Who knows? Well and then there was the wind. It was partly unbelievable how it blew me away. Contrary to my nature, I did not drive on the shoulder, but rather half a meter inside the lane. The roadside had either guard rails or ditches, both of which I didn't want to see from too close. Many drivers even found the brakes, none honked. Most probably knew the wind. Only thing that could have gone wrong are the "Spacken" who think they can (50y allowed, overtaking ban) overtake and race towards me. Since 2x no finger fit between me and the oncoming traffic on my side. Really, that was close. In this sense, all the best and Mr. Putin, please stop slaughtering people.
