Of course! Long in advance booked the return ticket incl. bicycle place at the DB, (I reported), what happens? Exactly the train is cancelled! Luck of the draw, I was able to book an ICE with bicycle space just under 2 hours later (another 44€), and I'm waiting for it right now. How the story develops and how the refund proceeds.....i'll inform. When I look at the other trains that were offered to me as an alternative.... Pure chaos in the bicycle compartment. But. For the DB support on Twitter, respect! At least they're on fire there! What else happened today? A lot! So I left Ulm in the morning, John was still asleep, so no big goodbye. In the morning I looked at the clock, plenty of time, so I took a "diversion" via the Blautopf! What beautiful photos were taken there. Simply very beautiful there. At Blautopf I climbed up to the Swabian Alp, the sun started to shine, up the mountain. Was it always so easy? I didn't even break into a sweat, okay, I didn't step on the gas either, it's stupid with luggage anyway! Hi Anja, I really did pass your door, unintentionally! The app! So hardly up, VfB flags on the roadside. Home! So somehow my heart beat faster, will I still be a VfB fan in my old age? Or was it just the feeling of home? Who knows? Then in the sun over the Swabian Alb. It's such a wonderful landscape! As soon as I got to the top, I went down again to Kirchheim Teck, then I had 2 options: over the Filder or the Neckar, I decided to go around the top. So now it's time to talk about electromobility! So the e-bikes are primarily there to get to work by bike #mdRzA. On and around the Alp, however, I saw almost not a single bike without an e-drive, okay so far so good. It's better than a trip by car and the bike infrastructure has been expanded, that's good. But well, a few cases. Mostly boomers/pensioners who behave like this: someone overtakes me and rings the bell constantly as he passes me, there's enough room. A few metres further on, he almost rings a wheelchair user off the road. That was enough for me, my sense of justice kicked in! I stepped on and got behind him to overtake and started ringing. What does he do? He closes the lane for me! He doesn't know me very well, so I passed him balancing on the curb, stuck my middle finger in his face and shouted out powerful insults against him, his age, his environmental pollution and his selfish behaviour etc. .... I don't think he understood, his wife did (she was ashamed), but well she's been living with the A^#& for a while. And 3 times on the ascent I was overtaken (again by pensioners on e-bikes), they grinned arrogantly, great sayings on their lips, well for me with luggage in the heat is already intense, but good. A cheerful "Well, Fatty!" from me at least made the arrogant grin fall out of their faces. Well, if you can do it, you can do it. Now these Sunday drivers are also on the cycle paths, it's sickening! Racing with e-mobility, what are they thinking? Penis comparison? Who needs it! On the flat they don't let me pass without braking, you have to ride in the middle and on the hill, then something like this. What kind of status symbol is that? My opinion of electric mobility is clear: it's great for replacing the car in everyday life, and even for cargo bikes. But this recreational cycling? For me, it's just another form of environmental pollution and pure egoism. If you can't get somewhere with muscle power, then maybe you have no business being there! All that e-bike downhill shit in the Alps, taking the lift to the top? Well, I definitely have a lot of fun riding uphill, and everyone who wants to go downhill should have that, right? Then heart attacks and obesity won't be so much of a problem, which will also reduce the burden on health insurance companies. Enough vomiting. So as soon as I got to Degerloch, a glance at my watch told me that I still had time. So I went around the top via Vaihingen and the Bürgerwald down to West. My absolute favourite route! To the Fragola for Doppio! You can't get a warmer welcome than that! Then the news that the train is cancelled. In the meantime I sit in my replacement train, it was clear that I first had to "fight" for my seat, but somehow people give in when I tilt my head down, look them in the eye and grunt "Oh yes". I don't know why. Maybe I stink? No wonder after 10 days on tour. Oh, this time I really had fun, met a lot of great people (even if only briefly). I got some compliments about my age ("You're maybe in your mid-thirties, wow good genes"), openness ("you're an academic?" "You're cool!") and "you do sport, i see this". A smile here, a little flirt there, good for the ego. When you are already ignored by your own wife. So soon I'll be home, then we'll have Neapolitan pizza from the pizzeria opposite with my wife, then we'll discuss what's coming up. It's exciting to see what's coming up! And the next week is packed with appointments, then there should be another small tour. Today I did an extra 20km from F to H, not bad either. Thanks DB! In this sense, see you soon!
